Privacy policy

Purpose

This policy tells users of metalunion.ca and metalunion.app which personal data Métal Union inc. collects, how it is used, who can access it and what rights users have. It supplements the site’s terms of use.

Applicable laws

This policy complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for Quebec residents, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. For residents of the European Union, it aims to comply with the GDPR; for California residents, with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Where there is a conflict, the relevant law applies and we will update our policy accordingly.

By using our site, you accept the terms of this policy and the collection, use and retention of the data listed in it.

Retention and security

Data is kept as long as needed for the purposes it was collected for or to meet our legal obligations, then securely deleted. We take every reasonable precaution to protect it; if a security incident occurs, we will notify you as required by law.

Minors

For residents of the European Union, people under 15 need the consent of a legal guardian for their data to be collected and processed.

Your rights
